Agriculture is evolving. So are we
Michel Mercier Consultants, known by many producers and partners as MMC, has become Agrintel. This new name reflects the next stage of our work: helping Canadian agricultural producers make clearer, more disciplined, and more profitable decisions in an increasingly volatile market environment.
Agrintel brings together two ideas that have always guided our approach. The first is agriculture, rooted in lived experience, practical knowledge, and the realities of farm management. The second is intelligence, expressed through rigorous analysis, proprietary decision-support technology, and personalized advisory services. Together, Agrintel represents a clear commitment to building a more sustainable, independent, and innovative Canadian agriculture.

Why MMC changed its name
MMC was built on a simple conviction: producers should not have to face market volatility, cost pressure, and strategic decisions alone. Over the years, our work expanded beyond traditional consulting into a broader approach that combines agricultural expertise, market-risk analysis, margin management, technology, and producer education.
The name Agrintel better expresses what the company has become. It reflects our focus on agricultural intelligence, structured decision-making, and practical tools designed for the realities of Canadian farms. The rebrand also supports our ambition to serve producers across Canada in both French and English, while maintaining the same values that shaped MMC from the beginning.

What Agrintel means
Agrintel stands at the intersection of technological intelligence and agricultural tradition. The name reflects an approach that respects the experience of producers while giving them access to more advanced tools for understanding markets, protecting margins, and planning with greater confidence.
Our work does not begin with a prediction. It begins with a decision. Agricultural markets are volatile, and no advisor or algorithm can eliminate uncertainty. Agrintel’s role is to help producers structure decisions more rigorously by clarifying exposure, monitoring margins, evaluating market conditions, and supporting disciplined action over time.
A continuity of leadership and expertise
Agrintel remains led by Michel Mercier, whose experience is rooted in the agricultural world. Having grown up on a farm, he understands the pressure producers face when decisions affect both the financial stability of the business and the well-being of the people behind it.
For more than 20 years, Michel has worked with agricultural businesses on risk management, decision support, and farm profitability. That experience continues to shape Agrintel’s philosophy: technology should not replace professional judgment. It should strengthen it, structure it, and make it more useful to producers.
Our mission has not changed
Agrintel’s mission is to help Canadian agricultural producers manage market volatility and improve profitability through independent advice, proprietary decision-support technology, and personalized guidance.
This mission is especially important in sectors where margins can be affected by several forces at once, including feed costs, commodity prices, currency fluctuations, production performance, and health challenges. Agrintel helps producers move from uncertainty to structured decision-making by combining data, analysis, field expertise, and continuous support.

What this means for existing MMC clients
For existing clients, the transition from MMC to Agrintel does not change the foundation of the relationship. The people, values, and commitment remain the same. Agrintel continues to provide the same seriousness, independence, and proximity that producers expected from MMC.
The new brand creates a clearer platform for growth. It allows us to communicate our services more precisely, expand our educational resources, strengthen our technology, and support a broader community of Canadian producers facing similar challenges.
A stronger platform for producer autonomy
Agrintel exists to help producers gain more autonomy in their decisions. This does not mean acting alone. It means having the information, tools, and guidance needed to make decisions with greater clarity and discipline.
Through training, advisory support, reports, dashboards, and structured risk-management processes, Agrintel helps producers better understand their margins, evaluate market signals, and align decisions with the financial reality of their farms. The objective is not to promise certainty. The objective is to create a stronger decision-making framework in an uncertain environment.
